Many people are beleivers in Jesus and yet they are living a life where they do not deny themselves and lay their life down for Jesus. Jesus lived a life where He poured Himself out each day. So much of His time was spent giving to people. From the time He came back from prayer each morning to way past sunset He was giving His time and spending His power on people. Many people gave to Jesus and His disciples and Jesus went about sharing that money with the poor.
If we want to look at the life we should live, we should follow in the footsteps of Jesus. We need to lay down our wants, our desires, our lusts, and we should humbly seek to honor God though loving Him and loving all of creation. The Gospel takes money and the people doing that work need our money to operate. In order for us to give, we need first to deny ourselves and put God above of what we would want to spend our money on.
Living a laid down life is simple and easy. Living a life of total surrender might be hard at first, but it really is liberating in the end. Forsaking all, to follow Jesus is where true freedom is found. When we let go of self, and we pursue what God wants, then we are truly satisfied with the life that we live. Take it from me. A surrendered life, a life that is totally laid down for God and His purposes is the best sort of life you could ever have. Gone is the striving. Gone is the thirst for more of what the world can offer you. You can finally be at peace.

Greater Works
Jesus told his disciples that He was going to go to the Father and that He was going to send His Holy Spirit and that they would be able to do greater works than He did. We often read that verse and think that the verse if for the spiritual elites. We cannot see ourselves healing the sick, raising the dead, and multiplying food, so we dismiss this verse.
We don't consider that one of our posts on Facebook might get someone on a new search for answers. We don't consider our listening ear and our love could stop a person from committing suicide. We don't realise that turning only one person from error is a great thing. We don't consider that our effect in a person's life could be integral to them being set free. We don't consider a small part that we do could be a greater work.
I knew and apostle once that was a powerful teacher. I said to him that one day I would be doing some things better then him. He laughed with me and wished me well. Today I have articles that are read by thousands of people per month and thousands of videos that are watched per month. Today I am reaching thousands and what I shared with him has come to pass. It is possible to have a great effect on people on this earth. God, through His Holy Spirit can move on you, and you too can do greater works than Jesus did! Even turning one sinner from eternal death to eternal life is a great thing. Jesus wants us all going forward and affecting change in this world, day by day, and maybe one day we might look back and see that even we have done greater works than Jesus did!

Jesus is Here
It saddens me that people run from conference to conference to get the latest teaching, to get a fresh impartation, and a personal prophecy. People go to great lengths to find the peace of God that Jesus promised those that would follow Him. Many people have heard of the presence of God, and perhaps experience it once a week in worship, but fewer people experience that presence 24/7.
Jesus did not say "Come to me all of you who are heavy laden and I will give you rest" if that were not possible. Do you struggle with worries, concerns, and fears? Do you know how to lay them at the feet of Jesus and walk through life in a state of rest? Do you know how to cease from your striving and your need to perform and live from a place of true inner peace and contentment. Jesus does not want to be distant. Jesus wants to be here, right here with you. Jesus said that the Kingdom of Heaven is within you. Do you believe that? Do you think that you can walk in the manifest presence of Jesus every single day?
Jesus is Immanuel, God with us. He does not want to be stuck in Heaven and someone that you approach after a whole lot of confession and repentance . No! He wants to be with you. He wants to be here with us, each and every day. He does not want us to go through struggles each day alone. He wants to be here with us facing each challenge as a team. Is this sort of life possible? Yes it is because I live this sort of life.

Imitate Jesus
The apostle Paul wrote, "Imitate me as I imitate the Lord" Paul must have been living a life of perfection to be able to write that. The idea that Paul was constantly sinning is not the sort of picture I get from that command of his. We are told that Paul imitated the Lord Jesus. It is time that we decide to imitate Jesus with our lives and one good way to do that is to read and understand what Jesus taught and make sure that we live our lives the way He commanded us to.
Jesus was a person that saw though the masks that people wear and He saw the real person that was underneath. Jesus knew that every person counted and they deserved to have an audience with Him. I wonder sometimes whether we are too quick to judge people for the way that they look and their behaviours and habits, and simply do not love them for the person that they are inside. I feel that we could all take a leaf out of Jesus' book and treat all people with love and dignity.
There is so much room for us to improve with the way that we act and behave with our lives. I am sure that many of us have so much that we could change if we were convicted by the Holy Spirit. If every person we knew could see everything that we do in private and see how we treat everyone would there be room in our lives to do better? Would we need to change if people could see everything we do and say? I feel that we need to live that life now and strive to be more Christ-like with all that we do and say.

Alone
Life can be lonely for some people, I know that I experience it. It seems to closer you are to Jesus, the more lonely the path gets that you have tread. I am kind of passionate for Jesus and I live a life that is set apart for God. It is not often that I meet people that seem to know the Lord like me. I feel the deeper I go with Jesus, the less that people can relate to me.
I think it was Thomas Kempis the mystic that said, "If Jesus really loves you sometimes you will find that you have no friends but Him." I feel that to be the case with me. Sure I have friends at church, and people that love me on the Internet, but sometimes in the dead of night, its just me all alone. Sometimes God has a season for us to walk through, where He wants us to appreciate Him and grow in our knowledge of Him, and perhaps friendships will water that relationship down.
I know that Jesus was a person that had a lot of people around Him, but still he lived with loneliness and sorrow. No one really understood Jesus for who He really was. No one had the insight, wisdom and knowledge that Jesus had and so because He couldn't share those deep things of God with anyone He relied heavily on His Father each day. If you find yourself lonely, press into Jesus. He is there waiting for you I promise.

The Fire
Sometimes if you are close to God and Jesus they will place a burden on your heart. You will experience a fire within you and sometimes it will almost consume you. God knows what He is doing with your life. He knows how to light a passion within you and how to stoke that fire. I have a passion for people to know that they are loved. I have a passion to share with people that they can live a life free of the lusts of the world. I have a fire within me that wants to see every Christian be able to hear from God and Jesus. I have a passion that burns within me to let people know that everyone that is a Christian can move in the gift of prophecy.
So many people need to know that God loves then exactly how they are and that there is enough love in God to forgive them no matter how addicted or troubled that they find themselves. It is a fire that is in my heart to communicate to people that God's grace is enough for them. First I have to be convinced so much myself of that truth. I have a burning desire to let people know that they are loved.
I also want people to know that Jesus is the Pearl of Great Price and we can give up our whole lives and take up our cross and follow Him. I have a burden to share with people that they can have possessions but not to have their possession possess them. I have this burden that burns within me to teach people how to live a life set apart. I have a number of fires that burn with intensity in my heart. Have you got any and what are they?

Be Content
It is an amazing discipline to practice to be content in all things. We live in a world that has advertisements that fill out Television screens that encourage us not to be content with the status quo and for us to seek after new things to make us happy. We are told on the advertisements that our life will be a lot better if we had this latest thing. As my cell phone plan came due, the service provider was quick to advertise the latest model of the phone to me. I have a perfectly good phone and I am happy with it, but in this consumer age many people would do what the advertisement said and upgrade their phone to the newest and latest model.
Paul said this to Timothy.
Paul said this to Timothy.
1 Timothy 6:6-8
6 Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth. 7 After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it. 8 So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content.
There is real treasure in an attitude of contentment. So much stress comes from wanting extra things and striving after things that God has not given us. It is one of my secrets to being fulfilled with my life that I remain content with what I have. It is my prayer that you also might learn to be content in all things.

Fresh Manna
The Lord Jesus wants to be your Lord of your life. He wants to be your Source. We have a habit of going to Amazon to find books and to Facebook to here from God through other people. But God would like to speak to us direct. He would like to speak to us face to face. He would like to speak into our hearts and reveal Himself to us. The Lord Jesus and the Father would like to be the Ones that we run to. Instead of getting up and searching our Facebook feed, God would like it if we got up and came to Him in prayer and let Him speak to us and direct our day.
The thing is that God has emotions. He cares about our life and our welfare. He has things to say to us each day, to counsel us and direct us in the way that we should be going. His Word is alive and we have the Holy Spirit to interpret it for us. God wants to speak to us each day and wants to be our source rather than Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. God does not want or need all of our attention, but He does want to be first in our lives.
I know God would love it, if we could not make it through a day without coming to Him for a time. Like Manna each day, He wants to be our daily bread. He is a mighty and powerful God but He wants to be a deeply personal God to us. He wants to be a God that matters in our lives.

Rest in Jesus' love
Do you know that Jesus loves us with a love that cannot be measured? If we only knew how much Jesus loved us and cares for us, we would have little room for worry in our lives. I know when I prophesy to a person and say that Jesus really loves them and is so proud of them, they always get tears in their eyes. We are so needful of knowing that Jesus loves us. So many of us see ourselves through our failures and our own guilt and condemnation.
Jesus wants us to know that He loves us. We need to know that all our sin is nailed to the cross. As far as the East is from the West is how far our sins are removed from us. We need to forgive ourselves and embrace Jesus and rest in His love. We need to know His love for us, before we can be His love for others. We need to relax and breath in and accept His love deep into our spirits and learn to flow and live in His love. When we are at rest in His love then we can be Jesus to the world.
Won't you invite Jesus and His love into your life in a greater measure today? Cry out to Him and receive His love for you!

Fresh Ideas
Each day of your life, God wants to speak to your heart. Every day, if you will allow him, God wants to show you things. I know myself, being open to the Holy Spirit, is an exciting journey. Each day, if I am open to it, God has something new to tell me. He could speak to me about something I am doing, like give me the words for this post/chapter, or he could be giving me ideas for something completely new. Each day we serve a God who runs a universe and His Son and they both want to make changes in your life and make changes in the world that you know through you.
The thing that is important is that we have to be yielded. We have to surrender our lives to God and His purposes. For God to allow us to change the world, we first have to be ready and willing to make changes to our world. That may be as simple as being open each day to let the Holy Spirit give you a thoughtful and meaningful post on Facebook. Wouldn't that be great to be faced with a Facebook news feed that was full of Holy Spirit inspired posts?
Yes each day God has a message for you. Each day Jesus has new ideas for you. With faith, practice and patience we can wait on God and bring those new ideas to fruition.

Fresh Thoughts
We serve a God that wants to do a new thing in all of us. God wants to lead us into new ways of doing things. He wants to give us fresh thoughts and instructions to do. He wants to remove our old thought patterns that are dictated by our flesh and Satan and He wants to introduce us to a new thing. Perhaps doing things by following the Holy Spirit is new to you. God wants to hold your hand and lead you out into new pasture.
Even for those of us that have been led by the Holy Spirit for years. God wants to do a new thing. To some of us, we might need to have more faith in healing or provision coming from God or any other supernatural thing or occurrence. God will give us fresh thoughts about the way that He wants to move us. He will give us testimony of others who have moved in the way that God wants to move us. Then will come the day that God will ask us to act and move out in faith.
It is possible to be led by the Holy Spirit. It is possible to overcome sin. It is possible to live and move supernaturally like the first church did in Acts. It is possible to overcome in this world and survive whatever comes. The Bible says all of this is possible when it says "All things are possible to those that believe."

Tears in Heaven
Some people assume that there are no tears cried in Heaven. They might be looking to the verse in Revelation where it says that all the tears will be wiped away. I know that as long as people are going though trials and hardships on earth that Jesus and His Father will be crying on our behalf. I know at one time I was praying for a person that has been effected with a migraine for seven years, and I simply broke down with tears. It was those tears of compassion that I had that accomplished her healing. Tears of intercession are very powerful and I believe that is how Jesus intercedes for us.
I have two sisters in Heaven and a lot of other people that seem to know me in Heaven. I have become quite close with one of my sisters from her visiting me on earth in visions. She has told me that she has watched me my whole life. I know I have been in some truly sad situations and I know that she would have been crying as I cried my heart out on earth.
It is my personal belief that tears won't stop following in Heaven until all sin, pain and sickness has been taken off the earth. Up till then, I believe that Jesus and the saints will be crying and interceding for us. I know that when I pray for some people that I cry for them. Why should that be any different in Heaven?

The Daily Grind
Life on earth can be very hard with trial after trial and bill after bill. I remember growing up and seeing my mother with bills spread out on the dining table trying to organise them and her budget to work out how she was going to pay them. Some people have more money going out each month then the money that is coming in. Some people have to work two and three jobs just to make ends meet.
Some people are so busy that they don't find the time to get alone with God in the secret place. Some people are so stressed that they never "feel like" they are able to approach God. Some people assume that God is busy enough without their worries and concerns. There are many reasons why a person does not spend time with God, but God is waiting to meet with you. No matter how busy things get, taking even five minutes out each day to talk to God can have an amazing effect.
I am fortunate that most days I live in the presence of Jesus. From the time I get up, to the time I go to bed the presence of God is on me and I feel the peace and joy of the Holy Spirit. Each day, all day the Holy Spirit is directing my steps. I love how Jesus directs me through the Holy Spirit and supplies my every need. Life for me is one of joy and even when I go through depression I know that with prayer of my friends that I will soon come out of it. Take the time to learn how to walk in the Spirit and you will be in a good place and you will find relief to the daily grind.

Hope Floats
Life can have its challenges. It seems that you just recover from one trial and you come around the corner and another trial springs up in front of you. Trials are not just for the poor and impoverished. We might be surprised to know that even the rich and famous have their trials and challenges. We see just as many breakups and divorces among people with plenty of money. Just look at Hollywood for example.
One thing that I know is when you have hope in your life, that hope floats above the trials and hard times. When you have hope in your heart and you return time and time to stoke the fire of hope in your heart then you can endure anything. Hope is an amazing thing is it is like faith, it just helps you go on with life.
I had a vision once of Heaven and I saw a bookcase with fifty books in it. As I was looking at all the books in the bookcase, Jesus told me that they were books that I was to write in my life. As a writer, that image and my memory of it has sprung hope in my heart. On days that I struggle with depression and I can't seem to do much, the Holy Spirit only needs to remind me of the fifty books and hope floats up in my heart above the depression.
Do you have something to hope for.? Do you know what your purpose on earth is for? Do you have dreams that you want to achieve? Is there anything good about your life? Think on these things.

A New Day
Have you had a life that it hard? Have you had a life that is struggle after struggle? In my first book, The Lord Jesus spoke about a New Day and favor coming upon your life. You may have had a life of struggle and hard times. You might have had fought just to keep your head above water. You might look at other people and seen their lives going so well with blessing after blessing and wished to yourself that you life would be blessed like that also. Some of you may have watched so many of your friends see success without your own life seeing good things that you might have given up on good things ever coming to you.
If that is you, then this post is for you. If you are one that the Lord seems to have neglected with His blessings and favour, then you are the people that I want to address here. I am a prophet, and when I speak things over people, the Lord will honor my prophetic word and the prophecy will create something new for a person. Today I speak favor over your life. Today, by faith, I pronounce the blessings of God over your life. Today, I speak to shame, regret, fear, and pride in your life and I rebuke them in Jesus name and cancel them as well as anything else not named that is preventing the blessings of the Lord from manifesting in your life. I speak life, favor and blessings over your life in Jesus name now!
For many years I was the person that watched other people prosper. For many years I saw people I know blessed and favored by the Lord. I watched and yet I did not get angry at the Lord. Now in the past year the favor of the Lord has started to manifest in my life. I have lived with no favour and I have lived with it and I know what I prefer. Claim your blessings and favour today by faith and say "Yes Lord" in your heart.

Taking Jesus by the Hand
Jesus is a man and a God. He has emotions, He has feelings and He has desires for you and I. Often times people do not have the close walk with Jesus that I enjoy, because they don't think that Jesus has the time for them, or they don't think that they are worthy of His love. Many people struggle for years to grow closer to Jesus. God has done everything to redeem men and draw them close, but like beggars we are hungry and wandering around in plain sight of the food that we so desperately need.
It makes me fill up with tears as I write this. For so many years I sinned so much that I did not feel worthy of the love of Jesus and His most Holy Father. I have struggled so many years with sin that I felt I could't be friends with a Holy God or His Son. Jesus spoke very clearly to me one day when I read the account of the woman who was washing Jesus' feet with her tears. Jesus told me that she was a prostitute and that her need was so great that she burst into a dinner party and humbled herself and wept at his feet. She cried, she wiped his feet with her hair and then anointed his feet with very expensive perfume. Jesus told me that not only did He accept her tears and repentance but He also allowed the perfume that was bought from her life of sin to anoint His feet. Jesus showed me that He does not have an issue with sin or sinners or even money that sinners gave Him, but it is us through our pride that won't humble ourself and accept His love.
Over the years I have grown closer and closer to Jesus. Over time I have managed to walk out of a lot of sin. Today I like to co--labor with Christ and do what He wants me to do for Him. To take the hand of Jesus is not weak, to take the hand of Jesus is not an action that is going to be refused by Jesus. Jesus was a man that was known to love the sinners. The woman that washed Jesus feet was so broken and so desperate that she came to Him in a Pharisees house and even gate crashed the dinner! The more broken you are, the more of a sinner that you are, the more Jesus has answers for you.
If you are like me, and you have been forgiven much, when you grab a good hand of Jesus and not let it go you will really love Him much.
